Chandigarh 20th December:---- Gurukul Vidyapeeth Institute of Engineering and Technology achieved another milestone when it got CMAI National Punjab Education Awards 2013 presented 'Excellence in Innovation Award' at Chandigarh.
Dr. S C Jain, Vice President Gurukul Vidyapeeth expressed that it is an honour to be recognized as an institution for its innovative approach to the education delivery. He further informed that to present the Award Hon'ble Madan Mohan Mittal (Cabinet Minister for Technical Education and Industrial Training), Hon'ble A.R. Talwar (Principal Secretary IT & Higher Education), Hon'ble Rajneesh Arora (Vice Chancellor Punjab Technical University), Hon'ble SS Mantha (Chairman AICTE), Hon'ble Ashwani Kumar (MD, NIELT) and many eminent leaders from the industry were present. He himself received the award on behalf of the Institution Gurukul Vidyapeeth has partnered with the Pearson for providing smart classrooms, where the students get to attend the lectures delivered by many eminent speakers sitting in their own classrooms, on air. He also mentioned the English Language lab and the Sun lab. He further added that in Punjab there are several private colleges and institutions which have come up across the State offering a number of courses in various streams like engineering, medical, business management and many more. This rapid pace of growth has brought to the fore compelling issue of effective management of the educational programs so as to better prepare our youngsters for the fast evolving competitive environment. There are institutes who are focusing their energies on overall quality of education and making their students more employable so that they can make meaningful contribution towards making India a true superpower in the coming years.
