CII welcomes decision to include Bhiwani & Mahendragarh in the National Capital Region (NCR) Move will boost manufacturing in the region - CII

Chandigarh 02nd July:--Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region Chairman, &Co-Chairman & Managing Director, Sandhar Technologies Ltd Mr Jayant Davar, welcomed the Centre's move to include Bhiwani & Mahendragarh districts in the National Capital Region (NCR). He said that the move will not only bring both these districts into the main stream but will also provide the much required growth momentum through infrastructure development. Manufacturing in the region will get tremendous boost due to enhanced connectivity.

 

"The region will also benefit due to its enhanced connectivity to the Rapid Rail System, development of intercity transport, central aid towards district development, exemption from certain central taxes and development of basic facilites for the common man. The move will also help in effectively checking migration to Delhi and also in attracting reverse migration", he added.

 

Mr Davar mentioned that " Rapid development of Infrastructure in these districts would attract Industry and provide  employment opportunities to the youth from the adjoining areas as well. It is indeed imperative to spread the growth spectrum by developing newer cities in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable growth".

 

Mr Neeraj Munjal, Chairman, CII Haryana state Council said that " It is a positive step, since a  balanced and systematic approach will not only help evaluate the growth potential of the districts but also explore the possibility of creating several growth centers on the lines of Noida and Gurgaon that have benefitted due to their proximity to Delhi".
