Chandigarh,27th June:--Haryana has,bagged the IFC-Mint State Competitiveness Award-2013 for being the best State in the 'Innovation in Economy' category.It is for the second consecutive year that Haryana bagged the award,
Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda received the prestigious award, which was presented by the Vice President of India, M. Hamid Ansari at a function in New Delhi last evening. The award has been instituted by the Institute for Competitiveness (IFC) and the H.T. Media Group.
While thanking the organizers for choosing Haryana for the award, Mr Hooda said that this is not an honour to him, but to the people of Haryana.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, in fact, there is no competition among the States. Each State is unique and has its own strengths.On the progress of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that basically the progress of any State or nation is measured on the basis of four parameters, which are – per capita income, per capita investment, per capita Plan Budget and resource mobilization. Haryana is leading in all these four parameters, he added.
