Administrator Shivraj.V Patil listen 7 complainants in Janta Darbar

CHANDIGARH, 17th June: The Punjab Governor and Administrator,UnionTerritory,Chandigarh,Mr.Shivraj.V

Patil today heard almost 7 complainants here today in the Janta Darbar, and instructed the official to do the accordingly.

Mr. Kuljeet Singh Shan came with the representation regarding property dispute. The concerned officer informed that this is a case of unregistered will and that the property was not transferred on the intimation of the complainant and the status quo has thus been maintained. The Governor was also apprised that the case is pending in the court. To this Mr. Patil said, "Since the case is pending in the Court, the decision cannot be given by us. You will have to wait for decision of Court."  

A delegation lead my Ms. Seema was also heard. They desired that guest teachers may be adjusted in the Education Department. To this the concerned officer apprised the Governor that in the vacancy notice itself, it was stated that their services will be called for as and when the need arises. They have also been assured that their services will be utilised again as and when the need arises.

The next complainant, Mr. Pana Lal came with the representation to look into the pending demands of Tabla Instructors working in Government/Private Colleges of UT, Chandigarh. They desired that the pay scale of the tabla instructors be raised as per the rules of the Punjab Government. To this Mr. Patil said, the case needs proper examination and a rightful decision will be taken thereafter.

Mr. Anil Kumar came to the session with a desire of a house allotment under the Small Flat Scheme. The concerned officer informed that there is a policy that for eligibity under the scheme the applicant must be residing in a slum, however, Anil's father is a government employee and a house is already allotted to them in their name.

Mr. K.K. Bhalla came forward regarding the discrimination in implementation of judgement of CAT Chandigarh/Punjab and Haryana High Court. To this the Governor was apprised that an appeal is to be filed in the court.

Mr. R.K. Thakur, Government Aided School Employees Union, Chandigarh requested for grant of pension benefits for retirees of privately managed Government aided schools in UT. To this Mr. Patil was apprised that the Union had filed a case for the same in the court and the Punjab and Haryana High Court had dismissed the case in 2010.

Other complaints by Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur regarding appointment of her son against 5 per cent quota in the department due to adverse family conditions; Mr. Gurdip Singh, General Secretary, Gurdwara Vishkarma Sabha regaring allotment of additional land to the Sabha in Sector-30 and Mr. R.K. Garg regarding removal of rumble stribles fixed near the roundabouts of 27-30-20-19 were carefully heard and were assured that their cases will be examined and whatever can be done will be done as per rules.
