Chandigarh 30th October:- Ashmah International School celebrated Halloween in the Indian style. It is celebrated to kicks off the Hallowmas and dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed souls.
The students dressed up in costumes and painted their faces and mimic the evil spirits to scare the teachers. The creativity was easily witnessed in the way by which they coloured their faces and hands. They succeeded most of the time, scaring the teachers out of their wits. Participants performed to horror acts and they played trick and treat with their co-mates. It was a fun and scary day and the kids enjoyed the occasion. Most of the students had not heard about this festival before and were be inquisitive about it.
While speaking at the moment Director J.S Kesar said that typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treat -attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films etc. He further informed that nowadays whole world has become global village and this is the time when we can preach universal culture to the students along with Indian culture and tradition.
