Chandigarh 12th April:-- National Institute of Nursing Education,
Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and research (PGIMER)
organised a Panel Discussion on WORLD HEALTH DAY theme 2014 – SMALL
BITE, BIG THREAT . The students of B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year participated
in the event under the guidance of Mrs. Anupama and Mrs. Geetanjli,
Clinical Instructors NINE. Dr. (Mrs.) Sandhya Ghai, Principal, NINE
was Chief Guest for the event. Dr. ( Mrs) . Sushma Kumari Saini
Lecturer, NINE, chaired the Panel Discussion and introduced the theme
to the audience. Key points discussed by the panelists include Vector
Borne Diseases with special focus on Malaria, Dengue and Chikungunya.
Their transmission, burden and prevention were also discussed. The
panelists also threw light on role of stakeholders and policy makers.
