Chandigarh 12th April:-- Bank of Maharashtra to expand in SME and
retail segment and would be optimising its growth plans as per new
business plan, informed Sushil Muhnot, chairman and managing director
of the Bank of Maharashtra, who was in the city here today to attend
customers meet.
While talking with media Sushil Muhnot said that the SMEs hold the key
to the future of banking and the Bank of Maharashtra is reengineering
its business development plans to expand in the areas of SMEs, retail
and agriculture. He further informed that the Bank would very soon be
setting up special loan processing cells for SME, and retail segments
to promptly process loan applications and increase customer
satisfaction.To encourage entrepreneurship in the country, ten banks
have been asked to designate one branch each to provide angel funding
upto Rs.1 crore to the startups and Rs.5,000 crore venture fund has
also been created to promote new entrerprises. He further added that
Bank of Maharashtra also planning to offer some valuable offers to the
General customers.
