DLSA Gives Self Defence Training To 500 Girl Students

Mohali 06th January:--    District Legal Services Authority, Mohali today organised a seminar in association with self defence techniques expert B. S. Handa and Rattan Group of Institutions, Sohana.

 Tarntaran Singh Bindra, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary informed District Legal Services Authority, Mohali is organising seminars and workshops to teach self defence techniques to girls of Mohali District so that they may be capable of fighting sexual abuses, is being faced by them.  More than 500 girl students of Rattan Group of Institutions, Sohana have learnt these techniques told by B S Handa, Director, Extreme Martial Arts, who is Black Belt 5th Dan, From World Taekwondo Federation, Korea. He is also running an institute at Sector 15 and Sector 45, Chandigarh.    Girls and teacher were feeling quite confident after the seminar.  Sunder Lal Aggarwal, owner of the institute not only made adequate arrangements for the seminar but he also inspired girls to learn these techniques as their best help, in case of any need.

 Tarntaran Singh Bindra informed that similar seminars would be organised in other institutions besides workshops for the girls, who would wish to learn more advanced techniques.  Tarntaran Singh Bindra further told that the schemes of  District Legal Services Authority, Mohali are for the benefit of public and he requested general public to avail benefits of schemes
