Chandigarh, May 28, 2024:- The Principal of Government College of Yoga Education & Health-23, has shared the information that like every year, in wake of the 10^th International Yoga Day-2024, a mass demonstration of Common Yoga Protocol will be organized in the premises of Government College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23, Chandigarh, followed by National Conference on "YOGA: A GRACEFUL JOURNEY INWARD" on 29 May, 2024.

          Yoga lovers from all over the city, public members and students from various schools and colleges will participate in the event. SAkhil Kumar, DANICS, Director AYUSH, Chandigarh Administration will inaugurate the program. This program is being organized with the joint efforts of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi. चोटिल होने पर भी डॉक्टर रितु सिंह ने किया चुनाव प्रचार

Chandigarh, May 28, 2024:--चोटिल और सर पर बैंडेज होने के बाबजूद भी बसपा प्रत्याशी डॉक्टर रितु सिंह ने शहर के विभिन्न हिस्सों में चुनाव प्रचार किया और मतदाताओं से अपने पक्ष में मतदान की मांग की। उन्होंने बसपा की स्थानीय इकाई के पदाधिकारियों और समर्थकों के साथ पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी, एस एस पी के बाहर अपनी शिकायत लेकर पीडित कॉन्ट्रैक्ट कर्मचारियों सहित चण्डीगढ़ शहर के अन्य भागों में प्रचार किया।

   बीती शाम चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान चोट लगने से डॉक्टर रितु सिंह घायल हो गई थी और उन्हें सर पर गहरी चोट आई थी। हॉस्पिटल से उपचार लेने के बाद वो फिर से चुनाव प्रचार में जुट गई और अपने विरोधियों पर तीखे हमले बोल दिए। उन्होंने कांग्रेस भाजपा के प्रत्याशियों को चेताते हुए कहा कि वो यह न समझे कि चोट लगने पर वो पीछे हट जाएंगी। उन्हें शहरवासियों से जो प्यार, स्नेह, आशीर्वाद और समर्थन मिल रहा है, उसी ने इतनी गर्मी और चोट के बाबजूद उनमें जोश भरा हुआ है। लोग अब भाजपा और कांग्रेस के झूठे वादों और जुमलों से तंग आ चुके हैं। जनता इन्हें अब सबक सिखाते हुए सता से बाहर करना चाहती है और बागडोर शिक्षित युवाओं के हाथ मे देना चाहती है ताकि देश सुरक्षित हाथ मे हो।

Chandigarh, May 28, 2024:- प्रेस क्लब चंडीगढ़ में मंगलवार को पत्रकारों के लिए एक अत्यधिक जानकारीपूर्ण कार्यशाला सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित की गई, जिसमें पंजाब में गर्मी की लहर, जलवायु परिवर्तन और किसानों के समर्थन में एग्रो-मेटोरिलोजिकल डेटा की भूमिका जैसे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया।

यह कार्यशाला क्लीन एयर पंजाब द्वारा चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब, असर और भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) के सहयोग से ज्ञान की भागीदारी के रूप में आयोजित किया गया था।स्वागत भाषण चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब के अध्यक्ष नलिन आचार्य ने दिया।

सत्र की शुरुआत पंजाब में गर्मी की लहरों की वर्तमान स्थिति और प्रभाव पर एक विस्तृत प्रस्तुति के साथ हुई। आईएमडी के वैज्ञानिकों ने क्षेत्र में गर्मी की लहरों की आवृत्ति और तीव्रता में चिंताजनक वृद्धि पर प्रकाश डाला, जिससे सार्वजनिक जागरूकता और तैयारियों की तत्काल आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया गया। उन्होंने गर्मी की लहरों के पीछे के विज्ञान, ग्लोबल वार्मिंग के साथ उनके संबंध और वर्तमान रुझान जारी रहने पर प्रत्याशित भविष्य के परिदृश्यों के बारे में बताया।

इसके बाद, चर्चा जलवायु परिवर्तन के व्यापक मुद्दे पर बदल गई। विशेषज्ञों ने जलवायु परिवर्तन के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा की, जिसमें इसके कारण, परिणाम और पंजाब राज्य के लिए उत्पन्न विशिष्ट चुनौतियाँ शामिल हैं। उन्होंने सरकारी और सामुदायिक दोनों स्तरों पर सक्रिय उपायों को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए, जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रतिकूल प्रभावों से निपटने के लिए शमन और अनुकूलन रणनीतियों के महत्व पर जोर दिया।

कार्यशाला का महत्वपूर्ण भाग किसानों की सहायता में कृषि-मौसम संबंधी डेटा की भूमिका का पता लगाने के लिए समर्पित था। आईएमडी के वैज्ञानिक अजय कुमार सिंह, वैज्ञानिक ई और शिविंदर सिंह, वैज्ञानिक डी ने प्रदर्शित किया कि कैसे इस डेटा को एकत्र किया जाता है, विश्लेषण किया जाता है और किसानों तक प्रसारित किया जाता है, जिससे उन्हें मौसम के पैटर्न, फसल प्रबंधन और जोखिम शमन पर महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी मिलती है। कृषि-मेड डेटा का उपयोग कृषि क्षेत्र के लिए गेम-चेंजर साबित हुआ है, जो किसानों को सूचित निर्णय लेने, फसल की पैदावार में सुधार करने और प्रतिकूल मौसम की स्थिति के कारण होने वाले नुकसान को कम करने में सक्षम बनाता है।

कार्यशाला का समापन एक इंटरैक्टिव प्रश्नोत्तर सत्र के साथ हुआ, जहां पत्रकारों को विशेषज्ञों के साथ जुड़ने, चर्चा किए गए विषयों पर गहन अंतर्दृष्टि और स्पष्टीकरण प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिला। इस कार्यक्रम को उपस्थित लोगों ने खूब सराहा, जिन्होंने साझा की गई जानकारी की गहराई और शामिल विषयों की व्यावहारिक प्रासंगिकता की सराहना की।

बसपा उम्मीदवार गंभीर रूप से घायल

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024:-बहुजन समाज पार्टी की उम्मीदवार डॉक्टर रितु सिंह आज गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई हैं। हादसा उस समय हुआ, जब ड्डू माजरा में उन्हें सिक्को से तौला जा रहा था। सिक्कों से तौलते समय अचानक ही कांटा टूट गया और रितु सिंह गिर गई। उनके सर पर कांटे का एक भाग लगा। जिससे उनके सर पर गहरी चोट आई। चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान साथ मे मौजूद समर्थको ने उनके सर से खून निकलता देख उसे कपड़े से ढक दिया व उन्हें हॉस्पिटल ले गए। समाचार लिखे जाने तक हॉस्पिटल की डॉक्टर टीम उनका इलाज कर रही थी।

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024:-चंडीगढ़ संसदीय सीट से बसपा की उम्मीदवार डॉक्टर रितु सि'ह ने आज अपने चुनाव प्रचार के तहत तपती गर्मी में गाँव बडहेडी,बटेरला और सेक्टर 38 वेस्ट में 4 मंजिला मकानों में डोर टू डोर प्रचार किया। इस दौरान उनके समर्थकों द्वारा सिक्कों से भी तौला गया।  इस दौरान उनके साथ स्थानीय बसपा के पदाधिकारी व अन्य भी मौजूद थे।

            डॉक्टर रितु सिंह ने डोर टू डोर जाते हुए लोगों से मुलाकात की और शहर से जुड़ी उनसे उनकी मांग व समस्यायों के बारे में सुना और उन पर गंभीरता से चर्चा की। उन्होंने लोगों से कहा कि कांग्रेस और भाजपा आपस मे टीका टिप्पणी व आरोप प्रत्यारोप करते आ रहे हैं। लेकिन वर्षों से शहर की जनता से जुड़ी समस्याओं के बारे में न जिक्र करते हैं और न ही उनको हल करवाने का कोई भरोसा दिलाते हैं।  उन्होंने उन्हें भरोसा दिलाया कि शहर की जनता का जिस प्रकार से उन्हें प्यार, आशीर्वाद और समर्थन मिल रहा है, वो जीतती है तो वो निश्चित तौर पर लाल डोरा के विस्तार,नीड बेस्ड चेंजिज, हाउसिंग बोर्ड के मकानों को मिल रहे नोटिस और शेयर वाइज प्रोपर्टी के ट्रांसफर और बेरोजगारी से सम्बंधित मुद्दों को संसद सदन में उठाएंगी और इनको अमल में लाकर रहेंगीं।

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024:- पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और नेता प्रतिपक्ष भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा का कहना है कि बीजेपी के 10 साल का कार्यकाल सिर्फ और सिर्फ विफलताओं के लिए जाना जाएगा. महंगाई पर रोक लगाने, बेरोजगारी पर काबू पाने, किसानों को उचित मूल्य देने, नागरिकों को कानूनी सुरक्षा देने, दलित, पिछड़े व वंचित वर्गों को भागीदारी देने समेत हर मोर्चे पर बीजेपी सरकार विफल साबित हुई है.

ऐसे में इस सरकार को जनता से वोट मांगने की बजाय, माफी मांगनी चाहिए. उसे चुनाव प्रचार की जगह अपनी गलतियों का प्रायश्चित करना चाहिए. 

भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा आज चंडीगढ़ से कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार मनीष तिवारी के लिए चुनाव प्रचार करने पहुंचे थे. उन्होंने सेक्टर-37, सेक्टर-56, हेलोमाजरा और इंदिरा कॉलोनी में चुनावी सभाओं को संबोधित किया.

हुड्डा ने बताया कि हरियाणा में कांग्रेस ने पूरी मजबूती के साथ चुनाव लड़ा, जिसके उत्साहवर्धक नतीजे 4 तारीख को सामने आएंगे. उन्हें उम्मीद है कि चंडीगढ़ वाले भी इस बार बीजेपी को सबक सिखाएंगे, क्योंकि इस सरकार ने चंडीगढ़ के 10 साल बर्बाद कर दिए. बीजेपी सांसद 10 साल में कभी चंडीगढ़ में लोगों के बीच नहीं रही. पिछले 10 साल के दौरान यहां उन्होंने विकास का एक भी कार्य नहीं करवाया. ना चंडीगढ़ में बढ़ती आबादी और ट्रैफिक के हिसाब से रोड इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का विस्तार किया गया और ना ही कोई बड़ी परियोजना भाजपा कार्यकाल के दौरान बनाई गई. बीजेपी चंडीगढ़ वालों की वोट लेने का अधिकार खो चुकी है. क्योंकि उसने अपना एक भी वादा नहीं निभाया जबकि कांग्रेस जो वादा करती है, उसको निभाती है. इस बार अपने न्यायपत्र में पार्टी ने जो वादे किए हैं हर-एक को अमलीजामा पहनाया जाएगा.

इस मौके पर भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा के साथ विधायक आफताब अहमद, भारत भूषण बतरा और चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश अध्यक्ष हरमोहिंदर सिंह लकी भी मौजूद रहे।

Classic example of old wine new bottles, Tewari on BJP manifesto

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024:- The INDIA bloc candidate from Chandigarh parliamentary constituency Manish Tewari today shredded into pieces the claims of the Bharatiya Janata Party made in its manifesto, remarking, "it is a classic case of old wine in new bottles", as the manifesto is the repackaging of old unfulfilled promises only.

He observed, since the BJP was in power for ten years, the BJP along  with the manifesto, should have brought out the balance sheet of ten years, which obviously it could not as it has nothing to show.

Interacting with reporters during his padyatra in Butrela area, Tewari while replying to a question on BJP's manifesto released yesterday, pointed out, much before he could comment it has already been rejected by people of Chandigarh who have raised the questions on unkept promises repeated again in the current manifesto.  

He said the BJP had promised 'Mono Rail' in Chandigarh in its 2019 manifesto . Neither there was Mono Rail, nor was there any progress on the Metro project, Tewari pointed out, while adding, with the result the city's roads remained clogged due to heavy traffic. 

He said the BJP had promised to regularize the need based changes made in the Housing Board allotted units. On the contrary, he said, the Housing Board issued draconian notices for even small changes made, sometimes fines of lakhs of rupees were imposed, bulldozers were brought to raze the houses and sometimes poor people were even evicted from their homes. 

The INDIA bloc candidate referred to BJP's promise of giving ownership rights on the basis of general power of attorney. As usual this promise also remained on papers only, he said.

Referring to the BJP's promise of providing 24-hour water supply in Chandigarh, he said, the same promise was made in 2019. Not only was the promise not fulfilled, the tariff was exorbitantly increased. 

Tewari said, like the BJP promised to remove the Dadumajra garbage dump in the current manifesto, it has promised it in 2019 also. If they could not do anything in five years, what can be expected of them to do in another five years, which they are not getting in any way.

Similarly he referred to the issue of parking in the city, improving the public transport system, and permission to build additional floors on booths in the city. But the truth is that the then BJP President Tandon and MP Kiran Kher simply forgot their promises made to the booths and other commercial buildings. 

The BJP, he said, had promised to extend the boundary of Lal Dora in villages, regularize the houses built outside the Lal Dora, abolish the Periphery Act and the people will not have to face harassment. This promise, he said, also remains unfulfilled.

Former Mayors Launch Blistering Attack against Manish Tewari and Expose His False Propaganda about Development

A number of former Mayors of Chandigarh today launched a frontal attack on Congress candidate Manish Tewari. The Mayors present during the media conference included first Mayor Kamla Sharma,  K. K. Adiwal, Asha Jaswal, Sarvjit Kaur, Manoj Sonkar, Rajesh Kalia and Poonam Sharma. Senior BJP leader Satinder Singh was also present.   

These former Mayors exposed the lies perpetuated by him with regards to the development works undertaken during the last 10 years. Tewari is continuously spreading misinformation that no development has happened in the years when BJP's Kirron Kher was MP from here. On behalf of former Mayors, Subhash Chawla speaking eloquently demolished the lies of Manish Tewari. "Manish Tewari believes that if a lie is uttered 1000 times, it becomes a truth." Chawla told the members of the media. "We have come here to expose this man, who himself has done nothing for his former constituencies. In fact he was the one who got himself hospitalized in order to evade fighting election from Ludhiana in 2014," Subhash Chawla revealed.

 

He told media persons that in the last 10 years, Chandigarh has seen all round progress and  the quality of life of each and every citizen has improved.

Another former Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma also spoke about the various developmental works undertaken in the city in the last 10 years. He primarily stressed upon the COVID days when the entire city was facing one of the most challenging times. "All our councillors and party workers remained outdoors in those horrible days and served the people. We provided 70000 food packets everyday to the needy in those days as PM Modi had instructed that don't  let anyone  remain hungry," Ravi Kant Sharma said, "He said that development had never stopped in the last 10 years and every Mayor had contributed for this in the last 10 years." He enlisted numerous works and prominent among those were regarding sanctioning Rs. 102 crores for villages, segregation of garbage, construction of underpass at Manimajra and many more.

 

Subhash Chawla also elaborated in detail about the development works. 

Some major works that were highlighted  were:

1. Under the smart city project CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire city. This has not only helped in curbing crime but also disciplined the traffic in the city.

2. All street lights have been replaced by LED lights. This has given better illumination and also reduced the monthly power bill from one crore to 50 lakhs. A number of new schools have been opened and several upgraded.

3. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited the city on several occasions and inaugurated a number of development projects including 1200 police flats and new building of UT Secretariat.

4. A new hospital came up in Sector 48 and a well equipped new trauma centre started working. New OPD at Government Multi Speciality Hospital Sector 16 started functioning.

5. Number of new community centres were renovated and Ram Darbar got a new one.

6. New Mini Sports Complexes came into being and a number of new badminton halls too started functioning.

7. Heart of the city, sector 17 got a complete new look. An urban park was developed here and high mast lights were installed. A fountain having a unique design became an added attraction her for visitors.

8. A beautiful underpass connecting sector 17 with sector 16 too was developed in the last 10 years. This underpass doubles as an art gallery and as a stage for impromptu performances.

9. A heritage centre of the Indian Airforce also came up in Sector 18.

10. Construction of a new building for the DC office has been approved.

11. Court verdict has paved the way for the constitution of flyover at Tribune chowk and work will start soon.

12. Chandigarh was able to get 29 MGD water from Punjab. An MOU in this regard had been signed and with this water problem will not be there in the foreseeable future.

13. Round the clock water supply pilot project at Manimajra is underway and soon the project will be implemented in the entire city.

Subhash Chawla said that most of these works have been undertaken through various central government schemes and an MP plays a very important role in bringing these projects. 

The former mayors challenged Manish Tewari to issue a similar kind of list for works he had done in Ludhiana and Anandpur Sahib.

एमराल्ड मार्शल आर्ट्स अकादमी ने 18 मार्शल आर्ट्स छात्रों को डिग्री और बेल्ट प्रदान की

Chandigarh, May 27, 2024:- एमराल्ड मार्शल आर्ट्स अकादमी के 18 छात्रों को आज यहां डिग्री और बेल्ट से प्रदान की। छात्र खिलाडियों का चयन 8-20 वर्ष आयु वर्ग के लिए आयोजित डिग्री और ब्लैक बेल्ट टेस्ट के उपरांत किया गया।

प्रशिक्षण मास्टर शिव राज घर्ती - 5वीं डैन ब्लैक बेल्ट (कोरिया) के कुशल मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित किया गया था। जो कि एमराल्ड मार्शल आर्ट्स अकादमी के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर भी हैं। इस दौरान उनके साथ मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर कविता राय घर्ती भी मौजूद थी

इस अवसर परमास्टर शिव राज घर्ती ने बताया कि उपस्थित होने वाले सभी अभ्यर्थियों को कड़ी परीक्षा से गुजरना पड़ा। ये छात्र ट्राइसिटी में एमराल्ड मार्शल आर्ट के विभिन्न सेंटरों में अभ्यास करते हैं और 4 साल के कठिन और लगातार प्रशिक्षण के बाद ब्लैक बेल्ट हासिल किया है।  

18 गौरवान्वित छात्र जो डिग्री और ब्लैक बेल्ट हासिल करने में सफल रहे, उनमें तरुशी गौड़ भी शामिल थीं, जिन्हें चौथे डैन ब्लैक बेल्ट प्रदान की गई। अन्य 17 को प्रथम डैन ब्लैक बेल्ट प्रदान की गई। इनमें काशवी कौशिक, विनय, तेजस पवार, कशिश अग्रवाल, दीपेश पांगटा, रिद्धि मोहन, सनम घर्ती, किउश घर्ती, अनीश जाना, प्रियांशु ठाकुर, वीरांगना जोशी, नीव महाजन, आरव सयाल, बेंजामिन, उदय बत्रा, मालविका और सौरव शामिल हैं।
