Chandigarh, Sept.4, 2025:-BJP senior leader and President of Udyog Vyapar Mandal Chandigarh, Kailash Chand Jain, has warmly welcomed the historic and relief-oriented decisions taken in the recent meeting of the GST Council.
Kailash Jain stated that the Council's decisions have brought significant relief to common consumers, students, and traders alike. The move to make essential commodities cheaper will directly benefit every section of society.
He especially appreciated the decision to impose zero tax on food items and educational materials, calling it a commendable step that will help balance household budgets and make education more affordable.
According to him, these decisions will provide relief to consumers across all sectors, including the general public, farmers, agriculture, health, life insurance, students, automobiles, and electronics. At the same time, they will boost trade, benefiting shopkeepers and businessmen, and bring new vibrancy to the market.
He further said that the GST Council's decisions are truly historic steps towards Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Living, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, as they will directly benefit consumers and reduce the burden of inflation.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership and to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for her able guidance, Kailash Jain said these reforms are another strong step in realizing the vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
He expressed confidence that in the future as well, the government will continue to take such pro-people and pro-trade decisions, further strengthening the nation's economy.
