Chandigarh, Oct.03, 2024:-This Friday, Amitabh Bachchan hosted 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', on Sony Entertainment Television, will feature three incredible Paralympic athletes: Navdeep Singh, Sumit Antil, and Avani Lekhara. These athletes, who have not only represented India on a global stage but also made the nation immensely proud, will share the challenges they've faced and the victories they've achieved in this special episode.
In conversation with Navdeep Singh, Amitabh Bachchan sheds light on Navdeep's early life and its struggles, and how he prevailed to go on and represent the nation on an international platform. Navdeep recalled a particular incident in college when he was made to stand ahead in the line because of his height. Instead of getting affected by this, he used to proudly stand up for himself and in Bachchan style say, "Jahan Hum Khade Hote Hai, Line Wahin Se Shuru Hoti Hai." This prompted AB to give him a big round of applause and say, "We are all learning so much from you. I feel like I could sit with you and keep talking. The motivation we get from hearing your story is amazing." Moved by the Paralympic winners' grit and determination, the legendary actor also says, "Hum apne aap ko itna chota samaj rahe hai; aapne desh ka naam itna ujjwal kiya.I congratulate you for winning these medals at such a young age. You've earned immense respect from all of us.
In the episode filled with inspiration and hope, Avani Lekhara takes a moment to talk about her favourite movie, featuring Amitabh Bachchan. She shared that Sir, everyone talks about your films and picks out their favourite ones. There are so many iconic films to pick from but her favourite film of yours is 'Bhootnath.' She was very young at the time, and her father had a transferable job, so we moved around a lot, which made it hard for her to make friends, especially since she was a bit of an introvert. When she watched 'Bhootnath,' she loved it so much. She wished for a friend like Bhootnath! It was the first time she saw a ghost portrayed as a superhero, and it wasn't scary at all. She remembers thinking how amazing it would be if she were in Banku's place, just hanging out with Bhootnath. Overwhelmed with her sweet memory of the movie, Amitabh Bachchan shared that thank you very much for sharing that. The story of 'Bhootnath' is indeed wonderful. As you mentioned, Banku initially doesn't believe in ghosts, but later, his connection with the ghost is beautifully portrayed. He is glad you brought up 'Bhootnath.' The director recently messaged him, suggesting that it's been many years since the film's release, and we should consider re-releasing it. If he watches this program, he will be very pleased to see that people still remember and cherish the movie.
