Chandigarh, Oct. 06, 2023:- The festive season is all set to be ushered in with 'Navratri's' followed by 'Karwa Chauth' and then 'Diwali'. To provide festival shoppers with a one stop solution just before the festivals start, a 3-day lifestyle and home décor exhibition 'Afreen' Karwa – Diwali edition has kicked off at Kisan Bhawan, Sector 35, Chandigarh.
In order to provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience to the tricity people – the organizers have brought more than 50 renowned exhibitors from across the country to display their best products in the genres of lifestyle, fashion, décor items and accessories under one roof. People thronged the exhibition in large numbers on the opening day. The showcase will be on till October 9, 2023-Monday, from 11 am till 8 pm daily.
Rattandeep Singh Walia, co-organizer of the exhibition, said that every festive season, we aim to bring something new and better for the shoppers. We have brought top exhibitors from across India who are displaying a plethora of fashionable clothing and lifestyle enhancing products. At 'Afreen', you will find designer clothes for the festivals, jewellery items, trendy handbags, gift items and breath-taking home décor items to brighten your festive season.
Aman Walia, the other co-organiser added that we have made sure that women get all their needs for the upcoming festivals of Navratri, Karwa Chauth and Diwali fulfilled here. There are beautiful Karwa Thalis on display apart from other products. All the offerings are affordable and of a high quality at the same time.
The exhibition is providing a platform to Kashmiri artisans so that they can showcase their wares outside of Kashmir and join the 'economic mainstream'.The exquisite craftsmanship of local artisans of Jammu and Kashmir are displayed in the form of a wide range of art works in collections of suits and shawls. Papier Mache technique has been used in these apart from 'Sozni' embroidery designs and 'Kani work' of Kashmir. Exquisite collections of Kashmiri embroidery based printed bags are also showcased by exhibitors.
Glitter and Glam is ready to add colour to the festivals. It has displayed an elegant collection of gifting and hamper options for the festive season. There are displayed 'Jute Gota Patch Baskets ','Potlis' and 'Lotus Diya Urli' -Urli is a kind of designer bowl. 'Torans' and 'Bhandanwars'- both décor items are also exhibited. There are beautiful Karwa Thalis too.
Those who are looking to refurbish the interiors of their homes 'Homesaar' is providing varied options.
Indersons from Patiala has displayed elegant collections of Pakistani suits and designer suits. There are 'Lucknowi Chikankari' suits also on display. A young designer Lovejot Kaur has brought a beautiful collection of dresses under her label 'Mutiyar & Babes' . Kaur designs for different celebrities also.
Western wear collection presented by Delhi based label 'The Chique Chicks' is awe inspiring. There are Banarsi sarees, an exquisite men's wear collection from Jaipur and 'Little Smurfs' is present with a collection for children.
A Delhi based label 'My Jewellery Box' has displayed an exquisite collection of pure silver and kundan jewelry items.
A beauty label 'Mees Herbo Care' from Delhi has displayed natural and chemical free homemade skin and body care products.
