Chandigarh, Sept.13, 2023:-
As history attests, the odyssey of Pancham Dham commenced in 2018 and has now traversed 6 remarkable years. Pancham Dham Trust, also known as the 1008 Names of Shiva Association, has admirably upheld the tenets of Sanatana Dharma, nurturing its sacred flame. This endeavour has evolved into a multifaceted expedition, continuously embarking on novel trajectories. This spiritual odyssey originated following two decades of meticulous research by Dr. Sailesh Hiranandani. An ardent leader from RSS, Shri Indresh Kumar, has unfailingly lent his support to Dr. Hiranandani in his relentless pursuit of the Sanatan Dharma movement. Through this profound journey, he has been a driving force in spreading its message across the globe. His conviction resonates that global harmony can be realized through the practice of Sanatana Dharma.
In Cambodia, the sacred passages of Dharma Yatras have been set in motion through the initiatives of Pancham Dham and the 1008 Names of Shiva, led by the Hindu spiritual diaspora and expatriates. For numerous years, this pilgrimage has served as a conduit for Sanatan Indians from around the globe, drawing them to this land to embrace the profound spirituality it offers.
In continuation of this spiritual expedition, the Vishwa Mandir Parishad, under the guidance of the revered Govinddev Giri Ji Maharaj, has unveiled a monumental plan. This plan envisions 1 crore Indian Sanatanis embarking on a journey to Cambodia in the near future, to delve into the essence of their culture and faith. This monumental initiative finds its roots in the groundwork laid two decades ago by Dr. Hiranandani. As we stand in the year 2023, the torch of Dr. Hiranandani's vision is being carried forward by the esteemed Swami Govinddev Giri Ji.
In this sphere, the initiative to encapsulate the journey of Pancham Dham and the 1008 Names of Shiva Association into literary form has been undertaken by Professor Geeta Singh. A forthcoming book is set to unveil the chronicles of Pancham Dham's evolution and the wellspring of inspiration that drives it, poised to present this narrative to a global audience.
Noteworthy is the involvement of numerous historians and custodians of spirituality, as underscored by Professor Geeta Singh, who holds the esteemed position of Director at Delhi University. Her longstanding association with the Dham since its inception positions her as a vital participant in the team of historians labouring diligently to illuminate the world with the truths of this sacred abode. Their collective endeavour seeks to spotlight the hallowed sanctuary, bringing its profound significance to the forefront of global consciousness.
Within this context, Professor Geeta Singh has shouldered the responsibility of crafting a comprehensive book detailing the journey of Pancham Dham and the 1008 Names of Shiva Association. Through meticulous compilation of pertinent documents, she is endeavouring to transform this endeavour into a profoundly informative article.
Guided by the esteemed Swami Govinddev Giri Ji Maharaj and coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Pujya Swamiji's Amrit Mahotsav for the year 2023-24, the Pancham Dham Trust is poised to initiate a transformative five-day sojourn, generously hosted by Cambodia. This exceptional journey is set to commence on November 28 and culminate on December 2, 2023.
Within the realms of this pilgrimage, participants can anticipate a multi-faceted experience, encompassing the resplendent Angkor Wat – the world's largest temple and an embodiment of Indian cultural tradition abroad. The itinerary features a harmonious blend of Tour, Satsang (spiritual discourse), Curiosity-Solution sessions, the grand inauguration of the Angkor Wat Vishnu Dham Book, insightful narratives on Lord Buddha's teachings, and an immersion in the serene Nisargaryam (natural setting). These focal points promise to render the Cambodia pilgrimage an unparalleled and deeply enriching experience.
Representing the Vishva Mandir Parishad, the faces behind the pilgrimage to Angkor Wat Vishnudham to make it possible are, Swami Govinddev Giri Ji, Shri Madan Maharaj Gosavi, Professor Kshitij Patukale, Dr. Vasant Shinde (Eminent Archaeologist), K. P. Umapathi Acharya (renowned temple architecture expert) and Shailendra Borkar.
For the success of the pilgrimage, Guruji Kumaran Swami Ji of Pancham Dham said, "We welcome all the brothers and sisters of the Vishwa Mandir Parishad to come here. Today Pancham Dham has become the biggest cultural synonym of South East Asia. The Asian diaspora in Sim Reap Cambodia gathers in large numbers to participate in the celebrations, and the place appears to have become a spiritual destination for Sanatanis spread across the globe."
On this occasion, Indresh Kumar Ji, RSS veteran and leader of Sanatan Dharma, revealed, "On the occasion of Pujya Swamiji's Amrit Mahotsav year, we have the good fortune to visit Angkor Wat, the world's largest temple of Indian cultural tradition. The ancient Angkor kingdom was located at the same place. Temples were built in Cambodia as well as in India. In the past intellectual scholars, architects, etc. from India used to visit Cambodia continuously and there was a mutual exchange of art and culture. Cambodian temple architecture is influenced by South Indian temple architecture. In a way, we get the feeling of our own Bharatvarsha in this continent.
Shailesh Vats, RSS Swayamsevak and Pancham Dham Coordinator said that the way Pancham Dham in Cambodia organizes cultural activities, similarly we are going to liven up Pujya Swamiji's Amrit Mahotsav year 2023-24 Angkor Wat Vishnudham Dharma Yatra. We are determined to make Angkor Wat Vishnudham Darshan successful for all the followers who are part of Dharma Yatra.
