35th Founders’ Week-cum-Annual Day Celebrations of Mount Carmel School

Celebrations of the 35th Founders' Week-cum-Annual Day Celebrations of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh, began today at the Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. 

Students of Classes Pre-Nursery to II, presented an entertaining cultural programme on the theme "One World – One Hope". 
 
The programme began with "Invocation" – Ira of Class II-B of the School extending a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the parents and other guests followed by a Welcome dance by the studnets of classes I & II. Then Founders & Directors, Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel, Dr. Annie Charles Samuel and the Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh felicitated the Chief Guest, Abdul Qayum, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Union Territory, Chandigarh.  Then began the mind boggling colourful programme on the theme comprising of 'We are the Children'- performance by the students of class Pre-Nursery, 'His Banner Over Me is Love'- performance by the students of class Nursery, 'Happy Hawain Dance' by the students of Kindergarten followed by 'Enthralling Arabian Dance' by the students of Class I of the School. Then the Annual Report of Classes Pre-Nursery to II was read out by Vihaan Gupta & Dakshesh Singh Randhawa of Class  IV-C.

After this the meritorious students of the School were awarded by the Chief Guest, Mr. Abdul Qayum, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Union Territory, Chandigarh, along with the  Founders & Directors, Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel, Dr. Annie Charles Samuel and the Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh. 8 students were awarded the Best All-round Students' trophies for the session 2021-22. Rolling Trophies for the Most Disciplined Class, Best Dressed Class & the Best Kept Class from the Foundational Years (Classes Pre-Nursery to II) were bagged by class K.G-A, class Nursery-B and class I-A  respectively. 

As Finale to the programme, the students presented an item, 'God Loves the Little Children' on a famous children's hymn "Jesus Loves the Little Children.  The programme was ably conducted and compered by the students of the School. A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Nimrat Kaur Saggu, a student of Class II-C of the School and the Programme ended with the National Anthem.
