Haryana Agriculture Minister Flags-off 5 Mobile Vans to Educate Farmers on Right Inputs Use

By 121 News
Chandigarh, May 6: Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) on Friday has launched a mass campaign to create awareness among farmers about right & optimal use of pesticides for increasing the yield, quality, and income.
During a campaign launch, J P Dalal, Haryana Minister for Agriculture and farmer Welfare flagged-off 5 mobile vans to educate, engage and empower Haryana.
Talking to media during the occasion, J P Dalal said that these 5 mobile vans will spread the message 'Jago Kisan Jago' in true sense across Haryana that by using pesticides with new technology and buying agri-inputs against a GST bill would help farmers to increase their yield, quality and income significantly.
He urged farmers not to buy any pesticides and agriculture related materials without a bill. Those sellers who fail to provide bills may be selling fake products and farmers need to be alerted to this, he asserted.
He further said that at a time when our country is aiming to become a US$5 trillion economy, unscrupulous elements are flooding Indian markets with low quality and spurious agri-input products, which may derail the country's progress in the field of food production. ACFI has taken a very good step to educate our farmers which should be lauded and supported, minister maintained.
Dr. Kalyan Goswami, director general, ACFI said that there is an urgent need to check the sale of bio-products laced with unauthorized and unregistered chemical pesticides by dummy companies as it impacts the lives and livelihood of farmers and poses a grave threat to India's food security and environment.
Pawan Payal, national general secretary, Rashtriya Kisan Progressive association (RKPA) said that we will do a nationwide campaign and fight as per our mission and vision of RKPA  for reduction of the GST from current 18 percent to 5 percent flat so that we can purchase our crop protection product by Bill only . We request all state governments to take stock of our key demands.
