Chandigarh Jan.19, 2022:-'Interstellar', the Science Club of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 Chandigarh organised an Inter College Short Film Making Competition on the theme 'Look Around You, Can You Find Science!!' on 13th January 2022. The event was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration.Amit Kumar from JNV Theog, Shimla was the judge for the competition.
The main objective of this competition was to spread awareness about the significance of science in our daily lives and show how creative expression helps clarify scientific concepts. As many as 25 students from various colleges participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity in science by making short videos using common household items. Ms. Anjali and Ms. Nikita from GGSCW-26, Chandigarh bagged the first and second prize respectively. Ms. Rooppreet Kaur from PGGCG-42, Chandigarh and Mohd Abdulla from PGGC-46, Chandigarh won the third prize. Ms Vaishvani from GGSCW-26, Chandigarh won the consolation prize.
The Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sujata Vohra, Convenor of the Science Club, in organising a competition on this vital topic and encouraged the students to participate in more such events.
