BJP Rejects Congress's Charge Sheet With Its ‘Worksheet’

Chandigarh Dec.15, 2021:- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rejected the chargesheet filed  by the Congress a few days ago against the BJP as a bundle of lies and threw it in the dustbin during a press conference held at Kamalam–BJP Party Office on Wednesday.  State President Arun Sood in the presence of MC Election co-incharge and Rajya Sabha MP Indubala Goswami, Mayor Ravikant Sharma, former state president Sanjay Tandon also released his worksheet against the rival's issued charge sheet.

Arun Sood categorically rejected the chargesheet of the Congress and said that during the tenure of BJP health sector found its zenith as the civil dispensaries of Sector-22, 45 and 48 were upgraded to the status of Civil Hospital. The Civil Hospital of Manimajra was upgraded. Apart from that a 100-bed hospital was built in Sector-48 along with an 80-bed hospital in Maloya. He informed that Advanced Trauma Centre (ATC) is under construction in Sarangpur for better health services. Aligned with the same, MBBS seats in GMCH 32 were increased from 50 to 200 with a view to increase the number of doctors in the city.

Referring to the upliftment of education in the city, Sood said that during the last five years, 11 new government smart schools were opened in Chandigarh and five are under construction. Modern education is being provided to the students through smart schools. He said that in view of the quality of education, Chandigarh has become number one in the Education Index report of NITI Aayog, beating Delhi.

Sood in his address said sporting arenas also found a new dimension with the opening of nine new sports complexes during the MC tenure. This includes six full fledged and three mini sporting complexes.  Six sports complexes have been dedicated to the residents. Apart from these 99 grounds were attributed to sports.

In addition to an increase in post-matric scholarship to SC students, free coaching was provided for SC, OBC students.

Five crore rupees were saved annually by changing all the street lights of the city to LED.
