Teachers Day: This Year 09 State Awards and 05 Commendation Certificates Conferred

Chandigarh Sept.04, 2020:- Commitment, hard work, sincerity and dedication are the pre-requisites to success in any field, and it is a well established fact that the teaching community proudly has them all. The past half year has made us all visualise work in a different perspective. 

But neither has the zeal of teachers to work diminished, nor has the initiative of the Education Department to facilitate them taken a back stroke. Keeping up with the tradition of honouring the educators from School Education, the Education Department is proud to present the State Awards and Commendation Certificates to the Principals, Heads and teachers from schools. 

This year, a total of 9 State Awards and 5 Commendation Certificates are being conferred. This includes Principal, Head, Lecturers, Master/ Mistress, teachers on Guest faculty/ contract/ SSA and deputation as well.

The State Awardees include Mrs Ranjana Srivastava (Principal, GMSSS 8), Mrs Shakuntala (Headmistress, GMHS 36),Mrs Manjeet Kaur Gill ( Lecturer English GMSSS 35), Mrs Neeru Sofat (Lecturer Chemistry, GMSSS 16), Mr Bharat Bhushan (TGT S Sc, GHS Dadumajra), Gurpreet Singh (DPE GMSSS 35), Ravi Jaswal (TGT Science, GHS Maloya), Ms. Raman Prashar (Lecturer Physical Education GMSSS 26) and Ms Ritu Kalra (JBT, GMPS 49D).

The Commendation Certificate is being conferred on Ms Pushpanjali (Lecturer Psychology GGMSSS 18), Ms Parveen Kumari (TGT S Sc, GGMSSS 20B), Ms Manpreet Kaur (Lecturer, GMSSS 15), Ms Sunita Sheoran (TGT, GGMSSS 20 B) and Ms Neetu (JBT, GHS 38B).

The State Awardees would be facilitated with a medal, a Certificate and Rs 21000/- while the Commendation Certificate Awardees would be given Rs 5100/- each along with a Certificate. The medals and citations would be conferred upon the Awardees at a function which would be held subsequently upon opening of Schools.
