Chandigarh June 13, 2020:-Desh Bhagat University and Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital sanitized the village Saunti of tehsil Amloh, district Fatehgarh Sahib and distributed 250 masks to its residents' .The activity was conducted under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan . The university has adopted five villages under this mission and is committed towards the welfare of these areas.
Chancellor,Dr. Zora Singh, Desh Bhagat University said, We are continuously working on prevention of the disease and trying to provide maximum support to the community by doing various welfare activities. He requested everyone to follow the guidelines issued by government of India in regards to prevention of pandemic COVID-19.
Pro Chancellor, Dr. Tejinder Kaur, interacted with the local persons and urged them to consider Corona preventive measures as most important and also work for awareness of these safety steps.
Vice Chancellor Desh Bhagat University and Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Mr. Sandeep Saggu, demonstrated the correct way of wearing mask, hygiene practices to be adopted and maintaining cleanliness around. The stitching of masks is given by university to rural women generating employment for them.
Sarpanch, Jagjeet Singh and other members of village panchayat were also present at the moment; they praised the noble gesture and thanked the university management.
