Chandigarh 03rd March:- A novel initiative has been taken by state guidance bureau, Punjab by making an environment wall at SCERT office SAS Nagar in cooperation with Environment Information System Center in Punjab State Council for Science & Technology.
Disclosing this state coordinator-cum-deputy director guidance bureau Shruti Shukla, who is brain child behind the project, said that Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI (Secondary Education) would inaugurate this environment wall on March 4, 2016. Elaborating the importance of environment wall, she said this wall would provide basic information regarding conservation of resources to the visitors visiting in this office. It will also update the visitors on latest information and techniques required for saving the environment.
Shruti Shukla informed that this environment wall would have thought provoking cartoons, posters, articles on the subject. Once it is successful, the model would be replicated in other educational institutions in the state.
Lauding the efforts of state guidance bureau Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI said this effort would go a long way in spreading information and generating awareness about environment the people.
Among others Sukhdev Singh Kahlon, Director SCERT, Pankaj Sharma, Director Administration, Dr. Satnam Singh Laddhar, Joint Director Environment (PSCST), Ravleen Kaur, Program Officer (PSCST) and other officers from SCERT, PSCST, SISE also hailed the concept the crate awareness among the masses through the environment wall
