Chandigarh 20th November:- Business in the digital age has transformed significantly and in times when handheld devices are controlling our lives, and Google is more important than anything else, eBusiness is the in-thing in this digital age.
This was the topic of discussion at an engaging workshop on "eBusiness in the Digital Age" that was organized jointly by PTU Nalanda School of TQM &Entrepreneurship and eCdemy Learning Solutions at PHD Chamber, Chandigarh. The one-day workshop was conducted by John Foreman, founder ePath Consulting, Canada who is a Faculty at the University of Toronto.
The workshop covered technologies and strategies that are useful for building an online business and focused on the opportunities & challenges for businesses in the Digital Age. John also shared his experiences in eBusiness and Digital Marketing from North America.
Inaugurating the workshop, Padma Shri Chandra Mohan, former Vice-Chairman & founder of Punjab Tractors Ltd. lauded the efforts of PTU Nalanda and eCdemy for organizing this workshop which focuses on effective application of the powerful and pervasive digital technology in business, which is the need of the hour.
Welcoming the participants, Manish Trehan, CEO of PTU Nalanda announced the launch of the region's first "Digital Marketing Certified Professional" (DMCP) programme for working professionals& entrepreneurs, which commences on 21stNovember 2015 at the School's Mohali Campus. The 10-weekprogrammewith 80 hours of contact on weekends comprises classroom training by a team of Online Marketing Certified Professionals, virtual classroom sessions by renowned Digital Marketing experts from Canada and extensive hands-on training on live projects, he informed.
Deepak Malik, Co-Founder of eCdemy in his address highlighted how Internet-based systems have totally changed the way businesses operate and compete in the global market place. He said that the growth in ecommerce has been driven by rapid technology adoption led by increasing use of various handheld devices and smart phones. He also detailed the contents of the Digital Marketing Certified Professional program.
The Workshop was attended by 36 working professionals, entrepreneurs and academicians, who gained a good understanding of how successful companies are taking advantage of eBusiness, besides learning some of the best practices of industry leaders and strategies that they can use in business.
