Chandigarh 07th November:- Nav Bal Niketan School, Sector 29, Chandigarh organized an anti-cracker and anti pollution free rally today, which was flagged off by the Principal, Mrs Punam Mahajan. The students of classes Vth to VIIIth spread the message of celebrating noise and pollution free Diwali this season by taking out a rally through the streets of their sector urging people to quit bursting crackers and light lamps instead. The students were carrying placards with strong and purposeful message of not using crackers as they cause environmental harm.
Principal Mrs Punam Mahajan congratulated the students and the staff on their efforts. She told the students about the harmful effects of noise pollution. She also said that the air contamination so caused can stay for days and lead to respiratory disorders. If we have to have safe and pollution free earth for our future generations, we have
to start celebrating cracker-free Diwali.
