Chandigarh 20th November:- A team constituted by Danish Ashraf, IAS, SDM(East)-cum- Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh checked parking of Elante Mall in Industrial Area today and found 35 vehicles parked haphazardly in the parking premises of the Mall, CCTV cameras and Electronic ticketing machines were found to be in working condition, workers were carrying their name plate on their uniform. It has been observed that there were no overcharging or misconduct or misbehaviour by the workers of the licensee and the area of parking is not being used for commercial activities. However the licensee had not deployed his workers at 50 mts distance as per norms. For the same a challan has been issued.
The anti-encroachment drive was also been conducted in Palika Bazar Sec-19, Grain Market and Industrial Area ph-1 Elante Mall wherein 108 challans were issued for violations and seized articles like Rehries, pheries, table-chairs, readymade garment, furniture etc. Cleanliness drive has also been conducted in Mauli Jagran, Market places in sec-21 and Sec-18, Shivalik Garden Manimajra and Industrial Area Phase-II.
