UILS Students Played Street Play on Legal Aid Clinic

Chandigarh 07th October:- The Final Year students of University Institute of Legal Studies performed a street play at Legal Aid Clinic, under the guidance of Hon'ble Justice Hemant Gupta, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh at Palsora today. The play related to Dowry Prohibition and was performed by 30 students.  This was done as part of the Legal Aid Project undertaken by State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh in association with University Institute of Legal Studies. This play was also performed in support of and under the aegis of Panjab University's Team which has been pursuing the national campaign locally.

The Para Legal Volunteers of the authority and the staff of the authority were also present on the occasion. Lal Chand, Member Secretary, SLSA, UT Chandigarh appreciated the efforts of the students in creating awareness about this social problem. He motivated the students to shun the practise of giving and taking dowry and to further create awareness about this social menace.
