Oakridge International School Celebrates Dusshera with Great Zeal

Chandigarh 21st October:- Oakridge International School buzzed with activity as the students celebrated Navratri, Durga Puja and Dusshera at its campus. In an effort to keep the children deeply connected to the culture and heritage of our country a puppet show was also held for the Primary school. The talented teachers showcased the story of the victory of good over evil through the puppet show. In an effort to highlight different perspectives, the senior children created a movie showcasing the celebrations across the country. The children took an oath to let go at least one of their bad habits.

The Principal,Ramanjit Ghuman said at the moment that the burning of the effigy of Ravana symbolizes that we all must let go of all our negative thoughts and lead a value-based life. She further extolled the message of non-violence, truthfulness, amity amongst all, tolerance, respect for differences of culture and tradition and love for humanity and urged the students while giving Dushera wishes that they should kill the Ravana in themselves i.e. evils and vices should be eradicated by them to be good human.
