Chandigarh 21st October:- A 7-day NSS Camp was inaugurated today at MCM DAV College For Women, under the aegis of the NSS unit of the college. Bikram Rana, State Liaison Officer (NSS) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. A total of 103 volunteers will be participating in the week-long camp.
The inaugural function began with the showcasing of a documentary by NSS volunteers that chronicled the activities and achievements of NSS during the whole year. Programme Officer Dr. Sarita Chauhan presented a report apprising the audience of the proposed activity to be undertaken during the camp. Chief Guest Bikram Rana while enlightening the students about the role of NSS in nation building, exhorted them to participate in social service wholeheartedly. The function culminated with an enthralling cultural programme.
Appreciating the endeavours of NSS unit of the college, MCM DAV Principal Mrs.Neena Dhawan urged all the students to imbibe the virtue of service before self and become exemplary citizens of this great nation.
