Dengue Drive:372 Residents of UT Diagnoses for Dengue Fever

Chandigarh 08th October:- The Malaria Wing of Health Department Chandigarh Administration further stepped up the enforcement along with Field activities for Prevention & Control of Dengue. Total 372 residents of UT-Chandigarh have been diagnosed for dengue fever at various laboratories including Department of Virology, PGIMER Chandigarh, Department of Microbiology, GMCH-32, GMSH-16 and District Priority Lab (IDSP) at Civil Hospital Manimajra.

During Special Drive 375 a team which includes volunteers of NSS and NVBDCP staff was deployed in the sensitive areas which surveyed 21215number of Houses in which 10639 number of Coolers, 22762 Number of Containers were checked, 44 Number of notices were also issued.
