Chandigarh 03rd August:- Walmart India,today launched two cutting-edge mobile solutions, `Best Price' Mobile App and `Dial-a-Deal' IVR system for its members across all 20 Best Price Modern Wholesale stores in nine states. This is an initiative to strengthen the omni-channel offering to its members for a seamless shopping experience. The `Best Price' Mobile App has been developed for members to browse, select and place orders, all from their android smart phones. MartJack Enterprise, an e-commerce solutions provider has developed the app.
Krish Iyer, President and CEO, Walmart India, said that we at Walmart India ensure that we have the means in place to allow our members to shop quality products at low prices anytime and anywhere through multiple channels. With the rapid technology adoption led by the increasing use of devices such as smartphones and tablets, and access to the internet through broadband, 3G, 4Getc. we feel very enthused about multiple B2B channels to service the members. Offering an omni-channel shopping experience to our members is thus poised to be a major growth driver for Walmart in India.
Speaking about the tie-up with Walmart India, Bipin Preet Singh, Founder &CEO, MobiKwik said that with this partnership, together Walmart India and MobiKwik are bringing the power of mobile payments to lakhs of small businesses and kirana stores in India. Besides making payments via the wallet, Best Price members who use MobiKwik will get refunds and incentives from Walmart "instantly" in their wallets. Members will also be able to load cash into their MobiKwik Wallets to make purchases via the Best Price mobile app. Mobile is now the fastest growing channel for the Indian economy and we are happy to be a part of the Walmart India mobile story. This is just the beginning and we expect the partnership with Walmart to expand in to next level of payment and financial services for Best Price members in the coming months.
