Chandigarh 03rd August:- Pracheen Kala Kendra celebrated its annual function, on this occasion a special cultural programme was also organised in which students of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh gave a spectacular performance giving ample proof of superb training being imparted at the Kendra. The programme was held at Punjab Kala Bhawan, MS Randhawa Auditorium in Sector 16 here. As many as 115 students presented the programme of dance and music.
The programme, which had total sixteen presentations, began with pure classical piece Vandana, the prayer of Godess Saraswati by Parvesh's students. The second piece is Kathak Dance by the students Yogesh Sharma. Composition in Rag Malkauns was the next item to captivate audience. Eminent Kathak danseuse Samira Koser's students presented Abhisarika nayika in kathak style and the students performed fundamental syllables of Kathak like aamad, thaat, paran, chakradar paran, gat, tode, tukre, kavits, footwork with quite ease and confidence. Guitar presentation by Deepak Kundu's students and vocal presentation in Rag Bhopali was admirable. Teen taal Tabla by Gurvinder's students presented aamad, gat, tode tukde . Next item is vocal presentation Vaishanav jan by the students of Partha Sen and Shiv stuti in Kathak by the students of Yogesh Sharma amidst thunderous applause. Songs on guitar was presented by Pranav's students was the next rendering.
Kathak and Tarana was presented by Guru Brij Mohan's students was one of the spectacular performance. Tabla tarang was presented by Narinder 's students . Music teacher Parvesh Kumar presented classical song. Concluding item Resonance was performed very gracefully by the students of Partha Sen. Dr. Samira Koser was the comparer of the programme and Registrar Dr. Shobha Koser was also present to motivate the students.
