Chandigarh 22nd June:- Professor Sunil K Arora of the department of Immunopathology, PGI, Chandigarh has been invited to represent India and attend the meeting of the Executive Council of Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA) to be held on 1st July at the Sands Convention Centre in Singapore. This meeting will be held during the 6th Congress of the FIMSA being co-organized by the Singaporean Society for Immunology from 30th June to 3rd July 2015. Prof Sunil Arora is a nominated Councillor from India to the Executive Council of FIMSA. Only one senior scientist from the country is nominated by the National Immunology Society to represent India in the International forum for a period of three consecutive years. The nominations are made after a rigorous process based on the scientific track record of the scientist in the field of immunology research. Prof Arora will also be presenting a research paper on 'Novel Recombinant Antigen of Leishmania with immunomodulatory potential facilitates faster clearance of intracellular parasites from macrophages' during the International conference.
