Police Arrest Two Person Under Excise Act

Chandigarh 08^th April:- Chandigarh police registered few cases under Excise Act, in which two persons was arrested. Chandigarh police arrested village faidan resident Vinod Kumar and recovered 16 quarters of Country made Wine from his possession. Whereas police arrested Vivek of Mohali while consuming liquor at public place. A Case U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered against both the persons. Both the accused were bailed out later on.

Chandigarh police arrested Kamal of  Ramdarbar, Chandigarh,  Mandeep of Hallo Majra, Chandigarh and Ajay Kumar of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh near Gurdwara sahib, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh while gambling and recovered cash Rs. 920/- from their possession. A Case FIR No. 92 U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Accused were later on bailed out.

In another case reported to Chandigarh police by Harjinder Singh of  Custom Colony, Sector-37, Chandigarh that someone has stolen his Bullet M/Cycle, No. CH-01-Z-1878 from the garage of his residence on the night intervening 6/7.4.2015. A Case FIR No. 116 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. The case is under investigation.
