Chandigarh 23rd March:- Chief Parliamentary Secretary Industrial & Finance Punjab & MLA N.K.Sharma has said that SAD-BJP Govt. is keen for the development of the state not only in the sports field but also in the educational fields too. He said that Punjab govt. has spent Rs. 2 crore for the construction of student centre & renovation works at Govt. College Dera Bassi. Here, the new Student centre building worth Rs. 60 lacs will be given to the college students on 24 March.
N.K. Sharma said that Govt. of Punjab is very concerned for raising the educational standards in the state as such, special emphasis is being given on providing basic infrastructures. He said that besides beautifying the building, a new look has been provided to the college building. N.K. Sharma said that this is the result of hard work & sincere efforts. He said that a lot of funds have been utilized for enhancing the basic infrastructure in the schools. He said that new building at Govt. Senior secondary school Dera Bassi is also under construction which will facilitate the students with new class rooms. Before this, he conducted a meeting with representatives of Old Student Association (OSA), College Staff, Local Political leaders & Social workers to review the preparation works for inaugural ceremony.
It is also mentioned at here that under the guidance of N.K.Sharma, the Old Student Association is also organizing a cultural program for the inaugural ceremony, wherein the great musical performance will be given by the famous renowned singer known as Pride of Punjab Gurdas Mann.
