Chandigarh 21st February:- To showcase the weaves from Tamilnadu, an exclusive Exhibition cum Sale of handloom products called "Co-optex", is being organized from 21st February to 01st March at Lala Lajpatrai Bhawan, Sector-15, Chandigarh. The Exhibition cum sales was inaugurated by Mrs. Kavita Singh IAS, Managing Director, CITCO, Chandigarh.
P.Sailam Regional Manager, The Tamilnadu Handloom Weavers' Co-operative Society Limited said that "Co-optex", serving its nationwide customers for the past 79 years. Through introduction of new designs and patterns to suit the ever changing taste and fashion trends of its customers. He said that in this 10 days of Exhibition cum sales the newly designed Sarees, Bed spreads, Towels, Lungies, Furnishings, Readymade shirts and Silk Sarees procured from Kanchipuram, Arni, Salem & Coimbatore areas are on Display. The Government of Tamilnadu has extended a rebate upto 20 % on all the Handloom products. P.Sailam further said that co-optex has effected a record sale of Rs.301.44 Crore during the year 2013-14 and aiming to achieve a sales of Rs.400 crore during this year.
According to the P.Sailam, Co-optex, a pioneering organization is regularly introducing new designs in unique colour combinations periodically to meet the customers Preferences. By continuous introduction of New varieties in vibrant colour combinations, Co-optex has sustained the Customer's interest and attraction, which has helped enhance its sale.
