Chandigarh 17th December:- A Blood Donation Cum Organ & Body Donation Camp was organised in Mohali by DBA Company, Mohali and Pride Foundation, Chandigarh. As many as 250 units of blood were collected by the team of Doctors from GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh.The camp was inaugurated by S. Balbir Singh Sidhu, MLA, Mohali and was presided over by Roshan Bisht, Er Akhil Verma and Kamal Gupta. MLA Sidhu honoured Star Blood Donors, Organ Donors and Body Donors. Five people from the tricity pledged their bodies on the occasion including the entire family of Mr Prag Raj Sharma who has donated blood 221 times. Roshan Bisht, Managing Director of DBA Company delivered an encouraging lecture on "Today's Youth & The Spirit of Giving". Er Akhil Verma, a Star-Blood Donor and an alumnus of PEC Chandigarh, motivated the youngsters and organised an interactive question-answer session with them.Speaking on the occasion, coordinator of the camp, Kamal Gupta, who himself is a body donor, emphasised the importance of body donation and organ donation to the youngsters and first-time blood donors.
