Chandigarh 25th November:- Jitender Kumar Ji Memorial Function, an annual feature of Department of Music, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh is a unique endeavour to remember his exemplary contribution to the college department and his inspiring devotion to music. This year the event was attended by students & staff from various colleges across the tricity. Vijender kumar, a famous Sitarist form Punjab mesmerized one and all. Prof. Neera Grover, classical vocalist and Visiting professor of department of Music, Panjab University was the chief Guest at the occasion. Prof. Grover applauded the endeavor and said that these platform are holistic learning opportunities for students which inspire them to achieve and follow the exceptional lives of people such as Jatinder Kumar Ji. The students and staff enthusiastically partook in this event. The students of MCM also enthralled the audience with their bhajans and classical renditions. The guests were all praise for their participation and motivated the students to learn from the life and experiences of Mr. Jitender Kumar.
The Principal of MCM, Dr. Puneet Bedi, reminisced Jitender Kumar Ji and remarked that his galvanizing association with MCM's Music Department took the department to new heights.
