PGI Orthopaedician Gets Prestigious Fellowship

Chandigarh 03rd March:-- Dr. Vishal Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at PGI, Chandigarh has been honored with the prestigious Fellowship of Indian Orthopedics Association- Dartmouth Hitchcock Fellowship, 2014. He will receive four weeks of training in Spine surgeries with world renowned spine surgeons at a spine centre in USA of international fame. He is presently being trained and is improvising on his surgical skills in spine surgery under his teacher and guide, Prof. Raj Bahadur. He has several indexed publications, written several chapters in different text books and is reviewer of several journals of high repute. He has presented original research work on International and National podia and has several International and National fellowships to his credit. He is presently involved actively in several research projects in the Department. He is a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, Royal College of Surgeon’s of Glasgow and represents India in Young surgeon’s committee of SICOT- An international Orthopedics Organization. To reflect his academic brilliance and research inclination, he has more than dozen International/ National Awards including Best presentations and Scholarships.
