Bansal Not Interested To Develop Chandigarh: Kirron Kher

Chandigarh 20th March:-- The Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP candidate for Lok Sabha Elections-2014, Kiron Kher paid tribute to the writer, journalist, satirists Khushwant Singh, who died on Thursday. She was addressing a press conference at party office Kamalam, Sector 33 today.

 While addressing the media persons, Kirron Kher said, that she is the daughter of Chandigarh, it's her hometown. Her heart has always been with Chandigarh and she has also done her graduation from GCG-11. Later, she did her masters’ degree from Panjab University. She is well acquainted with the problems of the city and have done a lot of work for the party.    

 Calling the sitting MP of Congress, Pawan Kumar Bansal, a non-performer she said that he has failed to live up to the expectations of people despite having an influential role on the UPA government. She added that Bansal had been ruling in the city from the last 15 years and remained in the important ministries in the cabinet but showed no will to work towards the development of the city.

 She further said that she had met the traders yesterday to know their issues which have not been addressed by Bansal. The problems of increasing traffic load and pollution have not been touched. Chandigarh which is known for its beauty presents many ugly spots and garbage dumps. He often claims to bring another Shatabadi train from Chandigarh to Delhi. This facility had existed in the city earlier too which was discontinued by the Congress government only. This train has been just re-started. 

 Kiron Kher said that BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is being loved by the people of this nation because he has an impressive agenda to make India, a super power. While unfolding her agenda she said, that we have started our campaigning and we are quite active on social media. In coming days you will see me addressing the big rallies and carrying out an aggressive door to door campaigns. If BJP comes to power then the problems of water, pollution and issues related to housing board will be resolved. I will also make sure that Modi visits the city.          

Speaking on the occasion Sanjay Tandon said, that the party is supreme for us and the name of the candidate is not vital but our prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi who has the agenda for development of the nation carries more importance. Our party cadre is working hard to ensure the victory from the parliamentary seat in the city because we want Modi to be PM of the nation. Some of the party workers had expressed resentment over the inclusion of Kirron Kher but now they have confirmed their full support to BJP now. If anybody in the party fails to maintain the decorum will have to face a strict action.
