AIHM Organise Blood Donation Camp:160 Blood Units Collected

Chandigarh 07th March:-- Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh in collaboration with Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and was sponsored by State Bank of India, Sector 37, Chandigarh organized a Blood Donation Camp. Most of the students appeared to be keen on donating blood, a component that has no substitute.  Nearly 160 units of blood were collected on this occasion.

Madhukar Anand, Regional Manager, SBI acknowledged the efforts for the noble cause. Doctors from PGIMER appreciated the efforts of the institute for taking such an initiative and extending invaluable service towards the humanity and said that requirements of safe blood are increasing and regular voluntary blood donations are vital for blood transfusion services.

Mrs. Bharti Tyagi, Principal of the institute said on the occasion that each life is valuable and donating blood is a service to the society. She appreciated the students and staff members who donated blood.
