Beauty & Brains Trust's Website Launch: Going to Organise Exhibition cum Sale on 11-12 Oct

Chandigarh 09th October: --- Beauty & Brains Welfare Trust going to organize a two-day Exhibition-cum-Sale at Kalagram on 11th and 12th October. The exhibition will be open for general public between 10 AM to 10 PM on both the days. A cultural show is also planned along with the exhibition, where several Punjabi singers will entertain the visitors. Tambola is another attraction at the event. Punjabi singer Harf Cheema will perform on the opening day. Harf Cheema and actress Sameksha Singh of Jatt in Golmaal-fame also launched the new website of the trust www.bbwt.org.

 

Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club here today, Ms. Shruti Verma,  President, Beauty & Brains Welfare Trust, said, that apart from creating awareness on various isues, this time we are holding this exhibition-cum-sale, where most of the goods are either created by women or the stalls are being managed by them.

 

Ms.Monica Kapoor, General Secretary, informed that there will be a total of 26 stalls, where goods related to crafts, furniture, readymade suits, cloths, artificial jewellary and cosmetics will be on display. There will also be joy rides for children. Most of the suits, candles and craft items are made by housewives and orphan kids. The event would be graced by celebrities and famous personalities of Chandigarh tricity. She added that Beauty & Brains Welfare Trust gifts dreams to the children victimized in a perilous red light area, to her trafficked mother benumbed by sexual violence, to the languishing prisoners, to the children invisible behind the high walls of the observation homes, to the orphans on the street, to the stick-tapping visually challenged woman on the speeding trains, to the slum children who are written off to be a child labourer and perseveres in the enkindling of dying dreams all across tricity.
