Memorial SarvKalyan Samiti Chandigarh organized 9th blood donation
camp, at Shri Sanatam Dharam Mandir, Sector 27 Chandigarh. Almost 300
blood units were collected in this blood camp. Home Secretary
Chandigarh Anil Kumar, and Joint Secretay Home, UT Chandigarh M. M.
Sabharwal, was Chief Guest on the occasion.
While inagurating the camp they lauded the efforts of the Samiti and
its members, they exphasis that not only blood donation, the donation
of the limbs are also need of the hour. They invited the people to
pledge to donate their limbs also in addition to blood donation which
may help the medical community in research of the various ailments
prevailing in the society.
Sunil Kumar Consultant, Youth Affair, State AIDS Control Society, UT
Chandigarh in his lecture aware the residents about the precaution to
be taken to prevent spreading of AIDS. He also assured the members of
the Samiti that all sorts of help will be given to the NGOs for
voluntary blood donation.
Rakesh Sangar, Chairman & Avtar Singh & Jatinder Tiwari, Patron of the
Samiti honored the Star Donors who had donated more than 200, 100
donations respectively and presented mementoes
