Chandigarh 07th October: --- Muncipal Corporation Chandigarh will shift 1000 Cattels to Two Gaushalas. Mayor Subash Chawla and officials of MC signed a MOU with these Gaushalas, for transfering the cattels. This decision was taken by Mayor Subash Chawla & Officilas during their visit two Gaushalas on Sunday which are managed by Shri Shri 1008 Swami Krishnanand ji Maharaj at village Chandpur Rurki and village Bhaddi in Garhshankar and Navanshehar.
The Mayor and officials alongwith the organizers of Gaushala took a round of the infrastructure facilities in terms of record keeping and suitability of shifting the cattle from Chandigarh. Swami ji agreed to accept the cows in cattle ponds to Gaushala at Chandpur Rurki and village Bhaddi, which was impounded by in Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. The visiting team found that the Gaushalas in Chandpur Rurki and Bhaddi are designated Gaushalas under the management of Registered Society and the Gaushala was very well maintained and organized in terms of feed, segregation of cattle (category wise), space availablability, covered sheds, proper storage facility of feed and water, feeding facilities, water availability, veterinary services, manpower to run the Gaushala and general cleanliness.
Mayor and officials were very impressed and satisfied with the arrangements made by Gau Dham Sewa Mission who is running these Gaushalas. The team found in ideal places where the Cows and other cattle can live in a better and healthy Environment in these areas. After discussing at large, the Mayor and officials signed a MOU in which Shri Shri 1008 Swami Krishnanand ji Maharaj agreed to accept 1000 cattle from Municipal Corporation Chandigarh for their Gaushala. With this agreement, it will be possible for the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh to shift the existing impounded cattle to these Gaushalas and a huge problem which is prevailing in the city can be solved. The Mayor observed that in the end of this year there will be no stray cattle in the city. The matter in this regard will be sent to the coming Finance and Contract Committee meeting of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
