Gender Sensitization & awareness programme for CTU Drivers & Conductors

Chandigarh 05th August:-- Department of Social Welfare and State Resource centre for women (SRCW), Women and Child Help Line and Union Child Protection Society (UTCPS) organized training on the issues of Gender Sensitization, at ISBT, Sector 17. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Safety of children and Women in the Buses for the Drivers, Conductors and officials of CTU. On this occasion Sanjeev Gulati Project Advisor SRCW addressed the participants about the gender sensitization, he said drivers & conductors role are very important in such issues because they have direct linked with Public.
The Project Officer, UTCPS Umesh Pandey and Rupali Gautam also made a presentation on The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and Women Helpline Number 181 (Toll free) . The officials were explained how the POCSO Act is effective for the protection of child rights and the children in need care and protection. They appealed all the participants to spread the awareness about child rights and the Women Helpline Number 181 (Toll free) and women and Child safety.
