Freshers’ Day at MCM; beauty and womanhood celebrated

Chandigarh 06th August:-- In keeping up with the ideology of the college to cultivate diverse aspects of womanhood in the students and marking the termination of the unique induction program, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organized the Freshers Day. The one of its kind induction program at MCM initiates the process of transformation of students into empowered individuals with a strong personality and character. While Havan Ceremony sensitizes their spiritual core, Induction Day imbibes them into the righteous value system of the college. Similarly, the Fresher's Day imbeds in them the virtue of beauty and poise.  The chief guest at the occasion was Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal, Education Minister Haryana while various other dignitaries also adorned the occasion as special guests. Mrs. Bhukkal was all praises for the superlative talent harbored at MCM. She labeled MCM as the topmost women college of the nation which works to develop all facets of the personality of its students. She encouraged the girls to make the most of their experience at MCM and endeavor to excel. Through a plethora of enthralling activities and performances, the MCM DAV sorority welcomed the new members. The audience was captivated by the superlative cultural show. The most entertaining event was the Ms. Fresher's Contest. The contestants adorned the ramp with their elegance and charm. Aishwarya Rishiraj was all smiles as she received the Ms. Fresher's title, flanking her were the beaming Jyoti Kataria and Tanya Sethi, the first and the second runners up respectively. Trasha won the Ms. Eyeconic Eyes while the title of Ms. Best Attire went to Sanya The mesmerizing smile of Pritika won her the title of Ms. Charming Smile. The flowing tresses of Jaspriya bagged her  the title of Ms. Stylish Hair. The title of MS. Glowing skin went to Radhika and elegant gait of Shagun made her the Ms. Graceful Walk. Honourable principal Dr. P. Bedi welcomed the freshers. She said that beautifying and appreciating the beauty of women was a unique way of empowering her. She said that Beauty was an indispensable dimension of a woman's personality and MCM endeavors to produce women leaders with an excellent combination of beauty and brains.
