Observe July Month to be Observe as Anti Dengue Month

Chandigarh 04th July:- The Malaria Wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop at Maloya Colony, Chandigarh as a part of the observance of July Month as Anti Dengue Month.

During his speech by Dr. Mukhmohit Singh, Epidemiologist-IDSP UT, Chandigarh stressed upon the various ongoing activities for prevention and control of Malaria, Dengue and water borne diseases. He also appealed to the general public that every person should take precautionary measures for prevention and control of Malaria, dengue and water borne diseases. The awareness camp was attended by Dr. Upasana, Medical Officer Incharge, Civil Dispensary, Maloya Colony, Dr. Shveta, Medical Officer Incharge, Civil Dispensary, Dadumajra Colony, Entomologist-IDSP, UT-Chandigarh, staff from the Malaria wing, UT Chandigarh, and local leaders of the area along with general community.

 

      During camp/ advocacy workshop 368 numbers of coolers &     

     containers were checked in the area.An Entomological Exhibition 

     organized by the Department in which various stages of 

      mosquitoes and larva eating fish (Gambusia) was displayed.
