For Development of Basic Infrastructure in Govt. School Buildings Rs. 5 crore 66 lacs 84 thousand will be Spend:ADC-Mohali

Mohali 11th JULY:-- Punjab Govt. will spent Rs. 5 crore 66 lacs 84 thousand for development of basic infrastructure of govt. school buildings at SAS Nagar district to provide basic primary education to the children of Govt. schools. This amount has been issued to various schools & the various works are also in progress.

  While giving information about this Additional deputy Commissioner Parveen Kumar Thind said that Rs. 95 lacs 71 thousand will be spent for construction of extra 17 rooms, each room will cost Rs. 5 lacs 63 thousand. He said that the construction work for these rooms in schools is in progress. He also informed that Rs. 2 crore 7 lacs 10 thousand  are being spent for establishing science laboratories in various schools & each science laboratory will costs Rs. 6 lacs 10 thousnad. He said that these science laboratories will be beneficial for medical & nonmedical students.

Parveen Kumar Thind said that the schools which are lacking in toilet facilities will be taken up as a first priority & Rs. 4 lacs will be spent for construction of toilets in 4 different schools. Each toilet will cost Rs. 1 lacs. Sh. Thind also informed that an amount of Rs. 4 lacs 73 thousand has been issued for repair & renovation works of schools. He said that an amount of Rs. 56 lacs 10 thousand has been received for construction of school building at Senior Secondary School Dera Bassi, which has been issued to Engineer Panchayti Raj. Construction work will be done through Engineer Panchayti Raj. He added that Rs. 2 crore 55 lacs has been issued to 51 schools for construction of art & craft rooms. He said that this will improve the level of vocational education. Parveen Kumar Thind said that work for construction of art & craft rooms will got completed in stipulated time.
