AAP Chandigarh President Appoint Competition Manager for Khelo India University Games Volleyball Event

Chandigarh, Dec.02, 2025:-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chandigarh has expressed pride over the appointment of the party's Chandigarh President, Vijaypal Singh, as the Competition Manager (Volleyball) for the Khelo India University Games 2025, being organised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Kota, Rajasthan, from 1st to 4th December. As Competition Manager, Vijaypal Singh has been entrusted with the key responsibility of ensuring the smooth and professional conduct of this prestigious national sporting championship. He is leading a highly experienced and dedicated team of technical officials to successfully manage and coordinate the entire volleyball tournament.

The Volleyball event at Khelo India University Games 2025 features participation from the Top 8 Universities of India, who have qualified from the All India Inter-University Games. In the Men's category, the qualified teams include the University of Madras (Tamil Nadu), University of Kerala (Kerala), SRM IST Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Kurukshetra University (Haryana), University of Calicut (Kerala), GNDU Amritsar (Punjab), KIIT University Bhubaneswar (Odisha), and Punjab University Chandigarh (Chandigarh). In the Women's category, the tournament features SRM IST Chennai (Tamil Nadu), MG University Kottayam (Kerala), LPU Phagwara (Punjab), Jeppiar University Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Chandigarh University Mohali (Punjab), University of Calicut (Kerala), KIIT University Bhubaneswar (Odisha), and Kurukshetra University (Haryana).

Teams from Chandigarh are participating with great enthusiasm, including the Punjab University Boys' Volleyball Team and the Chandigarh University Girls' Volleyball Team, who will compete among the top university teams of the country, reflecting the region's growing strength in sports and youth performance.

Terming it a moment of honour, Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh General Secretary Omkar Singh Aulakh stated that this recognition highlights Vijaypal Singh's long-standing dedication and significant contribution towards sports development and youth empowerment. "It is a matter of great pride for Chandigarh that Vijaypal Singh ji has been assigned such an important role at a national event. We extend our best wishes to both teams representing Chandigarh and hope they bring laurels to the city," the statement added.

The Khelo India University Games represent one of India's largest competitive sporting platforms, aimed at identifying and encouraging emerging university-level talent and promoting excellence in sports across the nation.
