Chandigarh, Sept.03, 2025:-The 311th monthly baithak of the Kendra was adorned with beautiful Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi duet presentations by the father-son duo Rahul & Bharat Gupta.
Pracheen Kala Kendra for the last 25 continuously organizing monthly baithaks in its ML Koser Auditorium and today in 311th episode of monthly baithak series, a beautiful presentation of Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dance duet was presented by Chandigarh's young and talented Bharatnatyam dancer Rahul Gupta and his son Bharat Gupta. This programme was organised in the Kendra's M L Koser auditorium.
Today's artist Rahul Gupta is a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, he is admired for his grace, precision, and powerful expressions that bring stories to life. Trained under eminent gurus, Rahul has performed on prestigious platforms, leaving audiences mesmerized with his dedication and artistry. Through his dance, he not only preserves the rich tradition of Bharatanatyam but also inspires the younger generation to embrace the beauty of our cultural heritage.
On other hand Master Bharat Gupta, a shining young Bharatanatyam artist who has already made his mark on the global stage. At such a young age, Bharat has delivered captivating performances not only in India but also internationally in Thailand, Armenia, Dubai, Doha–Qatar, Russia, and Sydney–Australia. He has also been invited to perform at TEDx, where his artistry received wide acclaim, and he has been honored with several awards recognizing his talent and dedication. With his grace, expressions, and devotion to this classical art form, Bharat continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
Today"s dance presentation commenced with praise of Lord Krishna by Bharat Gupta. After this, a beautiful presentation of Peru Natyanjali was presented by his father Rahul Gupta. Bharat displayed his dancing talent very well by garnering applause from the audience with his next rendering a Bharatnatyam dance presentation based on Lord Shiva.
After this, Rahul Gupta won the hearts of the audience by presenting Adooram Madhuram dedicated to Lord Krishna. The basis of the dance is Lord Shri Krishna and the God of Gods, Mahadev. Both Lord Shri Krishna and Shiva are considered as the idols of dance art. And in his next presentation, Bharat Gupta performed a dance performance on Lord Shiva. A dance based on Tridev was presented whereas Rahul performed Chandrachud form of his beloved Lord Shiva very well. After this Bharat received a lot of applause by performing Bharatnatyam dance in praise of Lord Vishnu. They concluded the program with traditional Mangalam in which both father and son received accolades. The expressions, rhythmic patterns, dance movements and fine footwork if duo was praiseworthy .
At the end of the program, the artists were honored by the Secretary of the Kendra Sajal Koser by honoring them with Uttariya and memento.
