Chandigarh, July 25, 2025:– The Mayor had sent an invitation to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillors to attend a tea gathering celebrating Chandigarh's 2nd rank in the national Swachh Survekshan.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) boycotted today's event, stating that when city roads are broken, areas are waterlogged, people are drinking unsafe water, and toxic leachate from Dadumajra is entering residential areas holding celebrations is an insult to public pain.
AAP highlighted that it was under AAP Mayor Kuldeep Kumar that Chandigarh ranked 2nd in the national Swachh Survekshan, and now the BJP mayoral candidate is wrongly claiming credit for it.
When citizens are struggling with roads, water, and toxic waste, AAP chooses to stand with the people not with those hosting hollow celebrations.
