Deaf and Dumb Cricketers from Across India to Compete in IDCA T20 Premier League in City

Chandigarh, July 31, 2025:-The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) has launched the 6th T20 Deaf Indian Premier League in Chandigarh being held from August 1 to 4, 2025. Matches are being played at GMSSS Sector-26 and Panjab University, Sector-14.

Eight teams — Mumbai Stars, Lucknow Giants, Delhi Bulls, Hyderabad Eagles, Kolkata Warriors, Chennai Blasters, Bangalore Badshahs and Punjab Lions are participating in this four-day national tournament. The teams have been divided into two groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. The final will be played on August 4.

Organized in collaboration with the Cricket Association of the Deaf Chandigarh (CADC) and supported by the UT Cricket Association, the tournament will feature 12 league matches leading up to the knockout stages.

IDCA President and Vice President of the Differently Abled Cricket Committee (DCCI) under BCCI, Sumit Jain, lauded the energy and commitment of the players. He said that their performances send a powerful message about the talent and potential of hearing-impaired cricketers in India. Jain also emphasized the growing importance of nurturing and promoting deaf cricket at both national and international levels.

All matches are being streamed live on the YouTube channel IDCA_TV, with regular updates available on IDCA's social media handles @official_idca.
