Gully Cricket Tournament Joins to Strengthen ‘Walk for Drug-Free Chandigarh’

Chandigarh, May 01, 2025:-- In support of a drug-free society, the Gully Cricket Tournament being organised by the UT Cricket Association (UTCA) in collaboration with Chandigarh Police will lend strength to the UT Administrator's initiative Walk for Drug-Free Chandigarh scheduled on May 3. Over 300 young cricketers participating in the ongoing Gully Cricket Season 3 will be led by Sanjay Tandon, President, UTCA along with his officials and volunteers. The walk will start from Cricket Stadium, Sector 16 to the Tiranga Urban Park in Sector 17. The Gully Cricket tournament has already been making a mark with its impactful anti-drug message, "Balla Ghumao, Nasha Bhagao" .

According to Sanjay Tandon, President, UTCA, "this walk is a meaningful step towards a healthier Chandigarh and UTCA is proud to stand with the UT Administration in this mission. When our youth lead from the front, on the field and in society, it sends a powerful message."

Meanwhile, a five wicket haul from Vicky (5/7) helped team no 446 to beat team no 443 by five wickets. Batting first, team no 442 was bundled out for mere 30 runs. Winning team chased down the target in the sixth over at the loss of five wickets.
